Hopes and Dreams

For once, I’m not going to tell a story. I just want to talk, so now it’s my 18-year-old version of me. Life is hard and I’ve kind of just started mine, people judge everyone for whatever they do and even if they don’t do anything they get judged.

Yeah, I could just say “Don’t listen to what other people say” or “Just follow your dreams and everything will go alright” but the only people that say that are coaches and I’m (thankfully) very far from being one.

So, if you want to start something, be it writing poems, making music, making YouTube videos, making movies, videogames, whatever.

Do it. Don’t do it because someone told you to, don’t do it because I told you to, if you try to go about it that way you won’t even like it. Do it because YOU want to and do it for YOURSELF.

Create something that you’re proud of. You’re not going to be proud of the first thing you create, far from it, but create something.

You want to make a Hollywood movie one day? Start recording your movie ideas with your friends.

You want to publish a poetry book? Start writing that poetry.

Going after our dreams is not as easy as we saw in series and movies. There they just do it, in real life you have to balance your dream with everything else you need to do. However, you can’t give up on your dreams.

One day someone asked me what I thought the meaning of life was. A hard question, something people try to find an answer to their whole life. When I was asked that question, I said: “The meaning of my life is to create art and see other people’s art”. That’s exactly what I plan to do.

So, if you want to create something, whatever it may be. Create it, create something you can look with a smile and be proud of. Create something you want people to enjoy.
